Knitting 101 invites members to learn to knit or refresh
what they’ve learned years ago. Also welcome are members who have
UFOs (UnFinished Objects) hidden in their closet and need inspiration
to finish them. We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at
1:00 PM at Renate's ranch. Expect to spend about 2 hours. There’s
a $10 fee for the initial 4 classes which includes one ball of alpaca
yarn and a set of bamboo knitting needles. You can bring your own
supplies, if you wish.
Knitting will continue after the first 4 classes and new members can
join anytime.
January 2012: Here's what's been going on in knitting!
Kitt is finishing the i-cord for her glass case/lipstick bag to be felted
by Renate who has the only top loading washing machine in the group. (Front
loaders don’t felt/shrink stuff); Hostess Nancy is showing
off recent scarf created for her 3 yr old granddaughter who was recuperating
from hip surgery; Cathi is modeling Renate’s latest neck wrap
knitted from scraps and dyed with kool-aid in the microwave.; Renate
is holding Cathy’s blanket lovingly created for her son; Annette
is knitting a sweat shirt for her 4 year old grandson who needs to grow
into it; Lynn is modeling the scarf she knitted for her daughter
who likes long scarves.
